Lake Huron, ON - Nisith J

My Watermark is at Canatara Beach on Lake Huron, Ontario.

When I was young at the beach, I walked towards the rolling waves. I was never taught how to swim. I was mentally scared of what lay under the deep blue water. Nothing beats kicking back and staring into the water. The lake that makes me feel like home.

At the beach, I always looked straight towards the sunset dipping my big toe into the water. Leaving my feet dangling and hands in the smooth sand. My body would tingle at every sight of seagulls.

When I was young at the beach, the taste of sunlight and seaweed and water altogether made my body tingle. At the sight of every creature, I would try to mimic its voice.

As the sunset was upon me, the water looked as if it had become more lustrous. The sand on the beach became cold as the time had come to pass. Hearing all the noises subside. In my eyes, the beach is one that connects me to water, and seeing these beautiful sights makes me think about what I can do to save it.
