Yellow River, China - Chenyi Z.
I feel connected to this watermark because the Chinese people are proud of its significance and it’s beauty. So am I.
We have utilized it over the course of our history. It would have a big impact on the people if it is destroyed or blocked. Like the pyramids, the great wall and the Himalayas mountain, our water marks needed to be protected as well. It is part of who we are, what we are and what we believe in, what I believe in.
We need to save this waterbody from the pollution that we put in there every year, it supplies millions of people in my country’s north. If we keep doing this, this part of China will perish, even if the government is doing something to stop the pollution, it is a wonder of nature and now it is just a waste-recycler for all the businesses polluting the environment. It won’t be a wonder of nature, it won’t be what we believe in, it won’t be what we are proud of if it is just a river of pollution. So I hope that we will do something about it. Thank you.
