Qiandao Lake, China - Jerry W.
A couple of years ago, my family and I traveled to Qiandao Lake in China. The name Qiandao means "a thousand islands” in Chinese, which in my opinion, is totally true. We can see the lake multiple miles away from it, and islands were all over it. Some of the islands are even available for people to visit. The islands are mostly “wild”, that means man-made things are rare on these islands.
My family and I always go for a walk on the beach after dinner. After 6 pm, the lake is always quiet. Different rocks are all over the beach. The big ones can even reach the length of 2-3 meters, the small ones are not bigger than a bean. I even heard that jade was found on the beach. That sounds good to me, so I have a goal of “finding jade.” So far, I still find no jade or other valuable things. But the lake is fantastic.
