Mediterranean Sea, Spain - Matt H.

It was July 2nd, 2019. The overnight flight to Barcelona, Spain was exhausting but well worth it. We were traveling there because my older sister Abby was on Team Canada for in-line hockey.

As I stepped onto the hot sand, the sand filled the cracks between my toes. I could see the beautiful different shades of blue and green of the Mediterranean Sea. When I ran into the water, it was cold but a good type of cold. As I looked at the horizon I could see the gorgeous sparkles of the sun reflecting off the water. My sister and I bobbed up and down with the waves.

About 2 hours after this breathtaking view the sun started to set. As the day came to an end, I reflected on how this day would have been without this amazing beach and sea. For the rest of the trip we would go to this fantastic beach in between Abby’s games. I will never forget this Sea and how I connected with it.
