My two sisters, my mom and I went to Hawaii for my mom's work. One day, my sisters and I went into the sparkly, wavy water. Emily and I wanted to swim with the waves, so when there was a really big one, we went for it. Splash! I got hit by the wave. I started twisting and turning and when I finally got a breath, I got hit by another wave! I got salty water in my nose and mouth. It was stingy and salty and gross. I opened my eyes to look for the surface and came up out of the water. And as dramatic as it seems, it didn’t change my opinion of going in the ocean. I still like the refreshing feeling of the water on my skin, and the way water sparkles under the sun.
