Thames River, ON - Daisy F.
When I was young at the river, I remember seeing a big bridge running over the water and a path snaking under it. The bridge was made of concrete. I remember cars driving quickly on the bridge, just above where I was standing, next to the river.
When I was young at the river, I smelled wet soil and branches. I heard cars on the highway. I touched flowers that were beside the water. I always wondered about the contrast between the cars up above, the pollution and the calm nature below.
When I was young at the river, I was curious about why the water was green because the area was so clean, and I could not imagine people polluting the water. I was also nervous because I kept thinking about what if I fall in the water or drown or even die.
At the river, I always took pictures with my family. I would always admire the water and how it flowed so smoothly. I remember our walks and gazing at the river. I would always remember the little kids playing around the little park surrounded by little trees.
