North Saskatchewan River, AB - Bonnie Cook
My Watermark is the North Saskatchewan River, Alberta.
I help out Todd here at the bakery. I help do dishes, I help measure out the dough and make croissants. It's really fun. For the dough we use water – one of the essential ingredients, we couldn't make it without it – organic flour, salt, and a few other things. All of the tap water we use is actually from the North Saskatchewan River. It would not be possible to make the bread without water and we couldn't have bread if we didn't have clean dishes. It's really important to have a clean river.
During the summer in Edmonton, I usually go out canoeing on the river with my friends. We love to go wade our feet in it and have fun on the banks of the river. My dog love swimming in it and it's really pretty just to see all the scenery and to be on the river.
