When me and my family went fishing around Devon, my dad almost caught a 28 inch walleye. As he was bringing the line in to recast my dad noticed that the line was bending lots and was heavy. My dad didn't even know he had a fish on. When he brought the fish up to the rocks we were on he didn't want to pick the fish up by the body because of the sharp fins. He picked it up b the line but the fish was so heavy that it bent the hook and fell back into the water and swam away. At the time we didn't have a net to scoop the fish out.
