My Watermark is the St. Lawrence River, Ontario.
Growing up, my family spent summer vacations in the 1000 Islands on the St.Lawrence River and these are memories I will never forget.
To speak about my water experiences and how important water is to me, I remember fishing and eating the fish we caught, tasting the freshness in every bite. In those days, I felt I never had to worry about pollution or whether or not the fish were safe to eat. My family lived and ate off the abundance of the waters.
I also remember bathing in the lake and how clean and clear the water was.
There is no doubt to me how important clean water is for the environment and for our future. One day, I hope to be able to share similar experiences with my kids and their kids, which is why it is so important to take care of our waters today.
