Georgian Bay, Dyers Bay, ON - Madison B.

For the past seven years, I have been going to Dyers Bay. The longest that we have stayed at the cottage is a week. My grandma, Dad, stepmom, Evalyn, Luci, Grandpa and I come to visit our great-grandma and grandpa up North.

When we are there, we swim, make smores, try to find bears, go on hunts, etc. The one time we went bear hunting, My 2 sisters, Fawn, and my grandma went out for two hours. The first half hour we found a baby fox and a mom fox. And then, later on, we found a mommy bear but of course, I'm the only person that did not see it. Then our way back to the house we found a let fox and it was catching a bug. It looked like the fox was dancing. When we go swimming we jump off the dock. When I was ten, I jumped right beside a big fish (That's what the picture is showing). Sadly this year the water was higher because of climate change. When we would jump it was not a big jump. I enjoy being there because it's so peaceful, lots of fun, and we all get to see family that we have not seen in lots of time.

Dyers bay is important to me because that's where my family can talk and see everybody that we have not seen in a while. To keep this beach beautiful I can pick up garbage when I see it.

If I have kids I will bring them up North for them to see where I went on summer vacation. And maybe if they have kids they will go too. I would love to make it true and happy tradition.
