Lake Ontario, ON - Tathagat Jaiswal
Lake Ontario is situated on the borders of Canada and USA. The leftmost tip of this lake is at Hamilton, Ontario. It goes on towards Kingston, Ontario. It is quite big for a lake and is also one of the major landmarks in Ontario and parts of the USA. Even though it may seem like it is quite enormous in size it is the smallest lake amongst the great lakes. But since the water runs pretty deep, Lake Ontario holds around four times more water than Lake Erie.
This lake is my favourite one because I live right next to it. I have a beautiful view of the lake and on good clear days I can also see the New York State with a beautiful water body following up to it. I have also sailed near the Toronto area just to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and downtown Toronto. The lake is quite enormous which means I can’t usually see the shore on the other side, this just gives me a feeling that I am sailing in an ocean. This lake just helps me calm down, when I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is watch how many boats are in the lake and how the view is like.
There are many species who live inside the Lake Ontario. Species such as Longear Sunfish, Lake Sturgeon, Pugnose Shiner, and Deepwater Sculpin.
