Georgian Bay, ON - Steven Crombie
My Watermark is east of Georgian Bay, near Parry Sound, Ontario.
About a month a go now, I was up fishing east of Georgian Bay with my father. As you get older you kind of appreciate those moments a little more than perhaps you would have as a kid. You take for granted of the nature, untouched, preserved, and in it’s natural state. It was the first time of my life at 26 that I got to see this beautiful, untouched piece of land, and I really appreciated for what it was. Living in the city you don’t get too much of that and it was just such a remarkable experience.
I caught some Bass, nothing too impressive. But it was just everything about it, the intangibles – the way that the sun might hit the lake, the quietness, the desolateness of it all, it was just unbelievable. It made me feel grateful and it’s important to not take it for granted.
