I was out on a paddle board there was talk that a whale was out in Burrard Inlet and I was still pregnant at the time. I didn't want to get too close to it, only would let it approach me. In my head, I thought "if it comes up to me, we're going to have a girl and her name will be Saoirse, means freedom in Irish but also is from a movie called song of the sea." The moment I put that thought in my head the whale came up! I went home and told my husband and the rest is history.
