Between 2006 and 2007 my friend and I made a promise to each other that we would swim in Kalamalka Lake at least once a month, all year long. Throughout the winter months, we made sure we went swimming, even breaking through the ice on some days. We succeeded and were pretty proud of ourselves. Kalamalka Lakes is one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen, there are so many colors in the water and makes you forget that you're in BC sometimes and not somewhere in the tropics. Whether it's swimming, cliff jumping, hiking it holds a really special place in my heart.
