I grew up going to the Laurentians and learned to swim in Lac Ouareau. I spent lots of time swimming and canoeing in this lake and others in the Laurentians when I later went to camp. Even today, sitting on the lakefront of my mother’s cottage looking out over the lake is a meditative experience that helps refresh and restore me.
