Lac Massiwippi - Maeve S
Every year my family and I go to Lac Massiwippi and we have for longer than I can remember. The sky is blue and there is never a cloud in sight. The lake is dark and cold.
My great aunt has lived there for her whole life. We have a cottage that overlooks the lake. On one side of the lake there is North Hatley and on the other side is Ayer’s Cliff. We take our boat out, and the water is still and calm and looks like glass. Sometimes, we take a canoe out to the swampy area and look at frogs, snakes, snapping turtles, and fish.
When you jump into the water it is cold, murky, sandy, and amazing. You feel like everything in the world doesn't matter. You're with friends laughing and playing dibble dabble. When you sail across the lake it feels like you're flying and nothing matters. The water almost looks clear. The air smells clean.
This lake means a lot to me and my family.
