Georgian Bay is my Watermark. It is the place where I learned to kayak, canoe, and outswim water snakes to the shoreline! Over the years, I have enjoyed many summers with friends on and around the water, betting to see who would be the first to jump in the 12 degree celsius water over the May 24 weekend. My children learned to swim in Georgian Bay, and we continue to build memories as a family. Being able to spend time outdoors, by the water, during the pandemic was a saving grace. As Canadians, we are very lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful waterbodies. We need to make sure we protect them.
