I started swimming at Ontario Place (OP) West Island Beach in April 2021 and continued swimming all year long until present day. I have always been a swimmer and feel a deep connection and sense of renewal each time I swim especially in lake water. The water, the beach and the fellow swimmers I’ve met at OP West Island were critical to me for getting outside, staying active and connecting in a safe way during the pandemic. I have valued the water quality testing done by Swim Drink Fish as this is an important reassurance knowing when the water is clean and safe for us to swim in.
