I moved to Madison, WI in Aug 2017 and felt connected right away to Lake Mendota as that's where I made new friends, took sailing classes, took my parents for an outing, met my girlfriend, etc.

There were times when I saw the lake full of green algae with "no swimming" signs which made me worry about the aquatic life inside.
