Lake Ontario, ON - Candice Chang
My Watermark is Lake Ontario.
I live in Canmore now and the Bow River is a huge part of my life and almost a therapist to me. I visit it everyday if I can and I don't know what I'd do without it, I really feel a connection being near water. Today we went out on Annie, a York boat, and for the first time ever I got to go out on Lake Ontario and experience this lake that I've grown up around firsthand in a way that I never have before.
I grew up north of the Lake and so, I spent a lot of time in the nature as a kid, building forts in the woods and everything with my friends, but we never really made use of Lake Ontario. But now in my thirty's, it's really awesome to finally have a relationship with Lake Ontario.
Out on the water it was just awesome. Moving with the wind, then the wind would die down, jumping in the water and it was so refreshing. Just to leave the land and you hear noises in the distance but you're in the middle of a lake, and it's kind of silent in that way. It's really cool.
