My Watermark is Pigeon River, Ontario.

I live on the headwaters of the Pigeon River, a couple of kilometers downstream from its source wetlands.

I watch it carefully and this year I am planning a photo essay, starting from here and going downstream, at least, to where it enters Pigeon Lake (and thence into the Trent and Lake Ontario).

It is very clean here and home to a lot of wildlife, including trout, crayfish, muskrat, beaver and, in the surrounding wetlands, amphibians, water birds, turtles and much more.
