Detroit River, ON - Justin Ketterer
My Watermark is Detroit River, Ontario.
I was four years old when my dad took me fishing for the first time in 1990, using a fishing rod my grandfather had given me as a gift.
As a kid, I'd go to the Detroit River with my friends and fish a few times a month during the summers.
I've fished in the Detroit River with my dad for the annual Windsor Salt Fishing Derby, which is the day before Father's Day, almost every year. I moved away from LaSalle for a few years as an adult but have always lived near water. When my wife, who did not grow up near water, first moved here, the sight of kids riding their bikes with fishing rods in hand scared her. To me, it looks like fun!
