Philippine Sea, Philippines - Gerry Pajares
When I was growing up, Sabang Beach on the Philippine Sea was where I went with my family and friends. My home and school were not far from the beach. I remember running and screaming without boundaries. As a child, there was a sense of freedom. I can never forget the fresh sea breeze and many birds flying around. It’s a mountainous place. I remember my father telling me the seven mountains are where people hid during the war. (That’s where he hid). You can see Mayon Volcano in the distance. It’s a perfectly-shaped volcano and whenever it erupted, you could see the smoke making different shapes in the sky. This place was very-much part of my upbringing.
