Lake of Bays, Ontario - Ellen Cross
My family summered in the Muskokas for three weeks every August on Lake of Bays. It was a tradition that started with my father's parents. My dad was a very busy family doctor who worked long hours and seemed to be on call seven days a week, so getting to spend time with him was special. He would fish daily, and I often would go with him. One of my fondest memories is catching a large mouth bass that he helped me to reel in. I was ten years old and so excited. Dad took a photo of me proudly holding it.... a knobby kneed, freckle face, curly haired girl with her fish. My dad has passed now but the memories of the times we spent fishing together will be with me always.
