My Watermark is Welland Canal, Ontario.

My team had not raced a major international race in 4 years, and finally we had the opportunity to race in the reigning world champion. It was the final race, and it was so tight that we couldn’t tell who had come in first. Even the finish line announcers could not tell. But as we paddled back to the dock, they announced the winner…. My team!! We won!!!

This took place at the International Flatwater Centre.
