I moved from Vietnam to Canada five years ago and went to the beach in Toronto for the first time this summer. Growing up, whenever I heard ‘beach’ it meant salt water, but when I went to the beach here – it was fresh water! I ran towards it – it was a very different experience, and I really enjoyed it. Being by the water at Woodbine Beach was so relaxing. It was the first time in a long period of time when I was able to stop thinking about other things and focus on the moment.
