Pacific Ocean, USA - Noah F

In the summer of 2018, I went to Los Angeles with my family. It was my first time on the west coast and it was an incredible experience. My watermark happened on the first day of our trip at Santa Monica beach. I swam in the Pacific ocean for the first time and I have never experienced waves as awesome.

The waves were so huge that they swallowed me up and propelled me towards the shore. The power of the water surprised me and I couldn't get enough of the waves. I felt like a sparkle inside of a snow globe as the waves tossed me around so easily. My dad was right there beside me experiencing every moment; his sunglasses were a victim to the waves and have found a new home at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. My mom on the other hand was very worried that the waves would fully swallow me up. She did not experience the same rush of excitement, but all of our hearts were racing. Feeling the power of water like that for the first time in my life will always hold a special place in my heart.
