It was March 11th of last year. I remember because it was my bir†hday during the March Break when I was with my family and friends in Mexico. We went out onto a boat to get to an island where there is lots of water-based wildlife that makes it interesting to go snorkeling there.

As soon as I went under the water I couldn’t believe my eyes. There were so many fish and other things swimming around in the water, like creatures you would not see in everyday life. I went under with just a snorkel, flippers and goggles. I saw this beautiful coral reef and there were so many fish, eels and even a sea turtle! It did not bother us or anything, it just kept on doing its own sea turtle thing. It was just gorgeous down there. That experience was amazing.

The only thing I would change is having to go up to the surface to get some air every ten seconds or so, because I would get too interested and go farther down then my snorkel would no longer work because it would get filled with water. Other than that, it was a memory I’ll never forget.
