I love living in Chatham-Kent because we are so close to so many beautiful waterways.

I was especially excited when we acquired a Newfoundland dog. Morgan weighed 125 pounds.

The Newfoundland dog is known for their water rescue ability. They have two coats with the undercoat protecting them from extreme cold. I loved taking her out to Erieau, Ontario to my in-law's cottage. The children would swim out and Morgan would swim out to the kids. Once she was there she would turn around and the kids would hang onto her tail and she would swim back to shore. Although she looks thin after her swim in Lake Erie, once dry she became a great big black fluff ball.
