In 2004 we purchased our first sailboat after being canoeists for 20 years.

In 2005, we met a family on the annual Trailer Sailor North Channel Cruise who had the same make of boat as we did. We were the littlest boats in the fleet. Our second day of cruising both boats got caught out in the water in a terrible storm and got separated from each other and the fleet.

Fortunately we found a quiet and safe anchorage and after a few days met up again. It was the beginning of our sailing together and the beginning of a lifelong friendship. We continue to sail together whenever we can.
