I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, so as a little child I went to Wilmette Beach. that was the place to go, that’s where it all started, where I got inspired by these tremendous, beautiful, and cool waters. enjoyed the summers with my family. we celebrated Lake Michigan every summer.

Being next to a great lake certainly kicked off my inspiration to work towards its preservation and restoration. It’s such a unique part of the world. I couldn’t see working anywhere else.
