The Northwest Arm, NS - Marie Welton
The first visit I made to the Northwest Arm was in 1983 with my 3 young children (8, 9,11 years old). We were so impressed by the beauty. What we didn't know was that at the end of the a concrete structure, jutting out into the water, was a gathering of seagulls, because it was a sewer outlet. We continued walking to the point (Point Pleasant Park) which is so, so beautiful. I hope my watermark can help make this concrete into a place of beauty and the water clean for swimming, fishing and for my grandchildren aged 5,7,8 and 10.
