Lake Ontario, ON - Catherine McKenna
I’m Minister for Environment and Climate Change for Canada. The name of my waterbody is Lake Ontario. My Watermark took place when I was a kid around Hamilton Harbour. I’m originally from Hamilton, I grew up thinking about the waterfront and it was really great over the decades seeing how it’s been rehabilitated. It’s really beautiful now and I’m really proud the our government is helping to rehabilitate Randle Reef which is the most contaminated spot in the Canadian side of the Great Lakes because it’s really important. And I hope one day that I will be able to swim in Hamilton Harbour.
