I grew up on the lake and learned how to swim in the small rock ponds on the shore. I skated on the lake in the winter when it froze. Water is a huge part of my identity; I was a competitive swimmer and am now a marine scientist. Almost all of my childhood memories involve the lake- it is a really special place for me and I'm grateful for all it has taught me.
