Luba Katic

My waterbody is all the Great Lakes but I would like to talk a little bit about Lake Ontario. I was born and raised I the Hamilton area and my parents had a fruit farm close to Lake Ontario. My memories are working on a hot hot summer day working in the field harvesting fruit and then going to Lake Ontario to cool off by either swimming in the water or going for a walk along the beach.

I also have another memory, during harvest time occasionally we would slip to the beach and get a bushel of sand and then we would bury our carrots in the sand so they would last all winter in the basement in our cellar.
