The best thing about where I grew up was access to the ravines feeding the Rouge River-- as well as the river itself. Hours and hours, and says spent exploring those waterways and shorelines, swimming and hiking and catching crayfish and building rafts, and having adventures. Those nameless creeks were heaven.
