As a kid my dad and I would spend our weekends fishing and play in the sandbars, falling asleep on the river banks watching the rod waiting for it to snag a fish. It's important to bring my kids out to show them that it's important to take care of our waterways and connect with the community. It's a great way to get them involved with interactive volunteering when they're young and team them about environmental protection.
