Cultus Lake, BC - Ty Sedivy
I felt the mighty pull of the boat and got up on the board on my first try! The wind blew past me, drying me off and making my hair fly back out of sight. It was a beautiful day and the water felt like glass. Nobody was out on the water at 6am, no distractions or excuses for falling. My board was slicing through the water and nothing could stop me. I felt like Poseiden gliding on the water and invisible all of a sudden. The glassy water reflected the blue sky and the beautiful view on shore. My time on the board quickly came to an end and I signaled to my dad to cut the motor then I let go of the rope. I felt the water eat away at my dry skin as I slowly started to sink into the cold morning water. I never felt so bonded with the water and can't wait to experience something as beautiful as what happened that morning on the lake again.
