My Watermark is Lake Huron, Ontario.

When I was young at Lake Huron I would walk up and down the main street with my dad, looking through the variety of stores they had neatly lined up. I remember that once we scouted a spot to eat we sat down and munched on our burgers while listening to the sound of the waves roll in and out. It was an hour drive to Lake Huron but it was still worth it.

When I was young at Lake Huron I would walk along the hot sand and dip my toes into the cold water that rippled with the touch of my foot. I always looked carefully through the small hills of sea shells and sticks and rocks that accumulated on the lake shore, determined to find the best looking ones.

When I was young at Lake Huron I would go swimming in the never ending waves for hours, waiting for the biggest ones so I could jump over them like an awkward fish. I didn't care how awkward I looked because to me it was fun. When I grew tired of hurdling over the waves I would sit on the shore. Unlike me, my parents always refused to go swimming because it was to cold.

Whenever I go to Lake Huron it's always fun. It doesn't matter if it's too cold to swim or it's so cold the waves are frozen because we always find something to do.
