When I was young at the lake, the cool yet refreshing green water crashed into me as I stood admiring nature’s beauty. I drank in the fresh air as the seaweed coloured lake glittered. From the other side, I could see small ripples and waves that brought in the wonders beneath the surface onto the shore in front of me.

When I was young at the lake, I would wander with lifelong friends, Ben and Bella in the nearby trails. I can still feel and smell the lake water in the air against my skin and flowing into my lungs. I remember that even though grand trees and small bushes and flowers exploding of colour called my attention, I wished to return to the wondrous lake. It called for me.

When I was young at the lake, my eye caught the quickly moving shapes of colour in both water and sky. As I observed the water, small creatures swam and flea the humans. In the sky I saw birds occasionally soaring down from the clouds to join us, the reflection of the lake was in their small black eyes.

I will never forget the beauty I saw and the sounds I heard and the fun I had. As the ripples brought me the wonders below, as the wondrous lake called for me, and as the birds of the sky and creatures of the water watched and observed me as I did them. Those memories won't ever leave my soul….
