Lake Ontario, ON - Bruce Timms
Most recently I rented a Kayak from the Conservation Authority at Jordan Harbour, to go Kayaking with my daughter on Father’s Day. You can rent the kayaks and paddle around the flat waters of the harbour.
The fun part about that day was going into the bulrushes and seeing the black bird’s nest, down inside the bullrush. It was also fun to paddle up beside the stone piers from the 1970’s, which used to carry the railways over the Jordan Harbour. It's a hidden waterway on the Jordan Harbour.
Everyone usually knows and sees it as they’re driving down the highway, but nobody really takes the time to rent a kayak and travel back upstream into the ponds. It’s a beautiful wetland and natural harbour.
