From what I’ve been told by my parents, the Pacific Ocean was the first body of water I probably ever saw, and that may be be part of the reason why I love it so much.

Every summer since I was six years old, I’ve gone out west to see my Dad every year and we always spent a lot of time on Caribou Lake or in the Pacific, but my favourite place on the ocean has always been Pacific Rim (not the movie). Me and my Dad often went boogie boarding or even biking down there because of how well packed the sand is. The main area was usually packed with people, but my Dad knew where to go for peace and quiet.

When we went there we were usually camping, and the sound and smell lulled me to sleep each night on the coast. So, now whenever I need to sleep, I think of Pacific Rim and our times there. I will always remember Pacific Rim.
